Launching his business at nine years old, Moziah Bridges meshed fashion interest with entrepreneurial savvy to achieve remarkable milestones, including collaborating with the NBA. 

Who is Moziah Bridges?

Moziah Bridges, better known as Mo, was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He had a keen sense of style and a passion for fashion from a young age. Frustrated with the selection of bow ties found in shops, he made his own from scraps of fabric provided by his grandmother. The creative spark turned into a business concept, and in 2011, aged nine, he formally opened Mo’s Bows. 

The Birth of Mo’s Bows

Moziah’s hand-knotted bow ties soon became popular because of their original styles and excellent workmanship.

When he appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank in 2014, his business rocketed. He did not make a deal for an investment but received great mentoring from fashion guru Daymond John.

With this guidance, Mo’s Bows continued to thrive and, in 2017, scored a major contract with the NBA to be the official provider of bow ties for the league’s draft functions.
